SAVE THE DATE: Engaging Youth in Policymaking: Lessons from State & Local Youth Councils Briefing
America's Youth Councils Network presents "Engaging Youth in Policymaking: Lessons from State & Local Youth Councils," Monday, October 26, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM, Senate Hart Building, Room 902. Across the country, youth are getting a say in the policymaking process through Youth Councils: officially sanctioned groups of young people with a diverse range of life experiences who directly advise policymakers on policies and programs that impact youth. America's Youth Council Network (supported by the Ready by 21 National Partnership) brings together state and local Youth Councils from across the country to share best practices and promote the growth of the Youth Council movement. At this Capitol Hill briefing, members of America's Youth Council Network discuss lessons learned and present opportunities for the Federal Government to gain access to authentic youth voice to inform their policy decisions that impact young people.
Please RSVP by Friday, October 16 to rsvp@forumfyi.org
