Out-of-School Time Policy Commentary: Raising the Bar: Quality Improvement Systems for Youth Programs
OSTPC 15 Cover
In the latest issue of the OST Policy Commentary, we compile lessons learned about building quality improvement systems for OST programs. We also take readers to the state of Michigan and the city of Chicago, where implementation of this model is underway with promising results, to hear from leaders on the potential of this investment. Lessons emerging from the YPQI indicate that high-fidelity investments that shift manager practices make a significant difference in program quality and that, over time, programs can improve the quality of their practices in support of children and youth.
